The Utah Public Health Association (UPHA) adopted a resolution entitled Strengthening Community Resilience to Safeguard Health in Utah’s Changing Environment during its annual conference in March 2026.

UPHA resolutions represent public health issues that the association is committed to addressing and help guide its priorities for advocacy and education. In this resolution, UPHA recognizes the health impacts of Utah’s changing air, water, and temperature and calls for efforts to support a healthy environment and healthy Utah. 

UHEART was proud to propose the resolution, with members collaborating over several months to draft and finalize the document. UHEART is excited to see growing recognition of the connection between environmental change and health in Utah and looks forward to working with UPHA and other partners on endeavors related to the resolution.
